Last Night Of Tball

We finished up a great season of tball for Grady! He really grew from picking dandelions last year, to particpating the whole time, hitting, fielding, and following instructions. At the end of the night, the Cubs coach presented each kid with a medal!
Grady was very proud of his award, and told me it was for "doing such a good job"...
This was Grady's professional picture...he had his eyes closed in the team pic :( BUT, he looks SUPER handsome in this one!

Gahanna Jazz Festival

Nick and I took the boys to the Gahanna Jazz Festival on a whim, and we had a great time! We have never done rides with the boys before (except the merry-go-round & train at the zoo), but it took no time for them to love them!
Because neither boy met the height limits, Nick and I had to ride with them.
Chase loved the plane ride! And he loved having me to himself :)
They had a big bouncer, which both boys are pros at.
By far their favorite ride was the BIG slide!! It was so cute seeing the 3 guys come flying down the slide...Nick said Chase giggled the whole time.
We let them pick one more ride before we left, and they picked the slide! Nick is a good sport, and an even better daddy.

Mighty Grady!!

We went to Nick's Uncle Jeff's house, and he has a great pool that both the boys enjoyed. I was SHOCKED when timid Grady decided to jump into the water from the rocks! I continue to be amazed with his growth!

Whatever Works

Chase has been a pretty good sport about Grady taking swim lessons, and him just watching. Chase will have his turn when he's 3, but until then, I have found little ways to distract Chase...and showing him how to take pictures of himself with my phone works! :) He's so vain.

Splish Splash!

The boys LOVE the pool, so we headed to New Albany Pool, one of their favorites! I bought new life jackets, and they work really well! Both boys can swim 100% independently, which is very helpful. Here's my Chase with another BIG thing year, his "sunnies"....both boys are really into sunglasses this year.
Our neighbors met us there, and I also bought the BIG new pool toy this year, the water launcher. The boys went nuts, and played with them the whole time! I made them promise to not squirt mom's or any other kids.
Lounging in the water!

Swim Lessons

I signed up Grady for swim lessons at the Y (Chase and I swim together while Grady has class). I'm VERY impressed!! The first day and they have Grady swimming across the pool to the teacher, and they throw them in to let them react to falling in a pool. 7 more classes to go!
Grady's teacher, Adam, trying to show Grady to use his arms.
My favorite thing is those foam "weight bars" (what I call them)...Grady holds one, and it helps him stay afloat, but he get his legs up to practice kicking. It's the most realistic swimming form I've seen from him!

The Good Husband

I've never been more attracted to my husband...seriously. I don't need jewelry, candy or roses...you accomplish a chore, and I'm yours. :)

The Address Song

I decided this summer I would do my best to continue the education Grady has been getting at preschool, and thought the best way to do this would be to teach him one new thing a week. Last week was our address, so I made up a song, and we sang it all week. By Friday, Grady had it down pat!
