Happy Easter!

Had Easter at my house this year, and we had a nice time...Dad, Scott, Nick, Tina, Lauren, Jeff and I celebrated with Dad's ham, mac & cheese, corn pudding, salad, and Scott's cheesecake for dessert (being pregnant is great...no food guilt!)...we had a pretty decent day out, so we were able to still have an Easter egg hunt for Davey....which he loved!

Baby Shower #3

My college girls were not able to shovel out of the snow & drive through all the horrible "Blizzard of 08" weather...which, in case you haven't heard, was not technically a blizzard, but my tv station & all the others still felt it necessary to give it that name...so we had a "make-up" baby shower for me at Becky's house, which was so so sweet & nice of them to do! Courtney was even able to make it down from New York City (!) to see all of us, which was so great...I got some wonderful gifts from them, and we got all caught up on the going-on's in our lives...Courtney brought old videos of us in college, which everyone has promised to not release should any of us go into the entertainment business, or politics...and our children will never see them either....Anyhoo, it is always fun to be with these girls, and I was so glad to be a able to spend a bit of time with them...

Baby Shower Pt. 2...

With all the snow drama on Saturday, I was lucky to have enough people able to make it through the snow on Sunday for the baby shower "part 2"...with some friends & family missing (we missed you!), we still had a great turnout for such a last minute event...Lauren did a great job with planning the party, and the food was delish, and the cake was even better...Tina (mom) and Arica "faced off" with a sock-matching game, with Arica as the winner, and I got some great gifts from everyone...This shower seemed to make everything even more "real" as I prepare for baby boy Hague...as if the big, bulging belly doesn't make it real enough :)

Here are some of the pics:

The Blizzard of 2008

The storm this past weekend was officially dubbed "The Blizzard of '08" here in Columbus, so it now has a name...and will eventually be celebrated by anniversaries...They just celebrated the 30 year anniversary of "The Blizzard of '78"...which I, and many of my friends, are personally thankful for, as we would not be here if it weren't for that wonderful pile of white snow...

On a local level, the snow shut down the city, including the shower Lauren planned for me on Saturday....Aunt Gretchen was in town from Florida, and she has officially become a southerner, because she was having a hard time handling the cold temps...But, as always, we managed to make the most of the circumstances and had a mini-shower with the guest list of me, Nick, Scott & Gretchen, and we treked out in the snow to get pizza that night like REAL renagades...Scott got us a baby monitor (with video!), and Gretchen got us some cute OSU baby clothes & bibs..too cute!

All in all, the snow was amazing (we measured about 16 inches of snow in our backyard), and we got some R&R for at least a day...
