The Pool Is Open!!

The New Albany Pool opened this weekend, so after I got off work (who needs a nap anyway!) we headed out to join the masses...Grady went NUTS, and Chase hung on the side & splashed a bit, and decided to doze a bit in momma's lap...The picture of Grady above is the only one I could catch b/c he was just going wild!

Daddy's Little Helper

Grady absolutely LOVES to help Nick in the yard...so I took Grady's "lawn mower" outside, and this boy "mowed" that grass forever!! He seriously thought he was mowing, and he was dripping sweat in the process...I literally had to pick him up & take him inside b/c he would not stop working! It was so cute, and I hope he's this thrilled to help in the future...why am I guessing that's wishful thinking?

Swimming Sunday!

After a much-needed nap, Nick and I took the boys to Gram's pool, and here's a pic of Chase in his floater...the water was a little cool, but he did pretty good in there...i don't have a pic of Grady b/c right when we got there he headed right into the pool, got his head under water by accident, and wanted nothing to do with the pool the rest of the day...I hope this isn't a sign for the rest of the summer...Swim lessons in 2 weeks!

Easton Fountains!

Whew! What a day! Nick was supposed to be back in town at 1:45pm, and didn't end up back in Columbus until 4am!!! The plane had mechanical issues, and then severe weather hit Atlanta, so he was stuck all day, and ended up flying into Dayton, and then his dad made the trek to pick him up b/c there are no car rental companies open at that time of night...I was supposed to meet some friends for a movie that day, but that was a bust....BUT...the weather was gorgeous, so I had the idea of taking the boys over to Easton shopping centre to play in the fountains...Grady loved it! he didn't want to wear his bathing suit (diva!), so he looks like a 1930's swimmer in his soaked outfit...the Columbus Crew Soccer Team was there, and Gram won him a little soccer ball he threw around the whole time! I'm glad she won that, b/c I had already caught him stealing someone else's...

Snack for 2!

Took Grady & Chase to visit their girlfriends, Ella & Harper, for a little playdate...Grady & Ella ate a little snack together, and worked on some puzzles...it was VERY cute, and Ella says Grady's name in the cutest way...it's a sorta long "Graaaadeeee" pronounciation. I love it! I hope I can bust out this picture at high school graduation :)

My Sweet Baby

This is either the sweetest thing, or my son finds me extremely boring...I was talking with the neighbor across the street, and the longer I talked the heavier Chase got...I looked down, and he had completely sacked out! I walked around for about an hour outside doing work while Grady played, and Chase took his little siesta!

Friday Night at the DQ!

I could tell Grady was going to be a little "fussy" about sitting down for dinner, so just this once, I told him if he ate his dinner we could get ice cream...to my surprise, he gobbled down his pasta & broccoli, and promptly said, "ice cream?"...sooooo....in the car to DQ!! Grady got a cup of twist soft serve, and Nick & I got to storytell about the place we fell in love & all the times we spent behind the counter mixing up blizzards & milkshakes! After Grady finished, he wanted more, and after the big N-O from mom & dad, he was not a happy camper...sorry bud.

Thursday Night Park Time!

We took Grady & Chase to the park on the one nice day we had this week, so I got a couple of snaps of Chase. He's a happy boy!

Chase and Carrots

6 Month Checkup!

This pic is actually from last week, but I had to post this SUPER cute chubby baby photo! Chase is 17 lbs., which puts him at 45% for weight, and he's 75% for height...not too shabby for a premie boy!!

Feeding Ducks With Grandpa!

With Nick out of town this past weekend, I took half days from work, so the boys and I were able to meet Grandpa down at Creekside for brunch...after we ate, we took some leftovers to the ducks, but ducks apparently don't like Grady's french fries, and Grady's toss ain't the greatest, so alot of fries just ended up on the rocks...I'm sure the birds eventually found those gems!

Park Time!!

I took Grady and Chase to our little neighborhood park, and it was such a nice time for us! It was an impromtu trip, but I'm so glad we went, because we had such a nice time! Chase loved his first time on the swings! And I couldn't believe Grady was a BIG boy, and wanted to swing all on his own! He didn't even want me to spot him!

Chase's 1st Meal!

This boy had NO problem figuring this out! Feeding Chase was an absolute joy, and I have a feeling he won't be a picky eater :)

Mother's Day

For me,
Motherhood is the final repair...What was broken in the past is once again made whole; what was subtracted has been added back again.
