Memorial Day

We had a quiet Memorial Day with the boys, and just had a pool day & grilled out some dinner that evening...we ended the night with some races! Grady won, but good effort from Chase! :)
In the afternoon, Nick & neighbor Brad, put together Grady's new trampoline Gram got him for his birthday. He LOVED it!
After such a fun day, I caught this moment of Chase...covered in ice cream, and totally at peace.

Last Day of Preschool!

Today was Grady's last day of preschool! Who knew it would be so emotional! He'll be back next year, but it's so hard to believe this school year is over, and he won't being seeing Miss Susan & Miss Lori! Miss Susan was very emotional & cried, and it was all just very sweet.
Our class went in together to buy the teachers a gift card, but I wanted Grady to be able to give them a gift, so we went to Straders, and he picked these flowers for them.
I thought about taking the boys to meet Nick for lunch, but I decided against it, and then suggested taking Grady to a last day of school dinner. We then decided we really liked this idea, and now think it will be a family tradition to have a last day of school dinner every year.

Zoo With Cousins!

Lauren and I took our kids to the zoo Monday, and we had a really nice time! Our first stop was the train (a favorite of Grady & Chase). Samantha really liked it too! This picture was Grady & Samantha waiting for the train to arrive.
Chase and I sat together, so he was a happy boy!
Next stop was the polar bears...one polar bear was a ham! He was playing with seaweed & being so silly
Here was above said bear floating on his back kicking his feet-it was super adorable!
I took the kids below the polar bears while Lauren fed Natalie, and they really enjoyed looking at the fish & bear swim by!
Grady, Samantha and I being goofs

Chase and Samantha walking together. They held hands alot, which was adorable!
Our last stop was the merry-go-round, and I took the 3 big kids while Lauren watched Natalie. No one wanted on a horse, so we all got on a bench together, and Lauren snapped this picture! I enjoyed that so much, and so did the kids. I hope they'lll always cherish days like this...I know I will!!

Dr. Hague??

After church on Sunday, Grady came home and said he needed to give Chase a "check up" to see how Chase was doing after he scrapped his knees the day before. Grady got out his Elmo doctor kit, and got to work! He checked Chase's ears...
...then he said he needed to check his tummy...
...and lastly, Grady checked his blood pressure. I don't recall Grady ever actually checking Chase's knees, but we have awhile to work on his skills...by the way- I LOVE that Chase humored him. Of course, his "medicine in a sippy cup" didn't hurt :)

Another Spring At Creekside!

The boys and I went to Creekside Friday morning, and took a long walk & played at Friendship Park. While we walked on the path, the ducks were VERY friendly! They walked right over to Chase! He tried to feed them monkey munch, but they didnt' like it :) He didn't offer them any milk...Chase doesn't share milk!!
Grady with the ducks behind him!

Grady At Bat!

Another year of Tball has begun!! Grady and Samantha are on the same team (Cubs), and this past Thursday was their first night!

The Avengers: the next generation

Grady and Parker as Captain America & Thor :)

Grady's 4 yr Check Up

Grady did an AMAZING job at the doctor!! I am still in shock over how well behaved he was and followed all the directions...He did perfectly on everything he was quizzed on (colors, pronouciation, etc). The only thing she said he could practice was hopping on one foot...I guess to work on core strength.
Grady was 38 lbs, and 40 inches tall! He had to get 4 shots, which made me panic when they told me...BUT he did not cry at all!! They put 2 shots in one arm, and 2 more (that according to Dr. D were more painful), and he was a champ! When we left, he even said he liked going! The Grady shell is cracking bit by bit! Good news is- NO shots till 12 years old!!!

Cute

Things Nick does when he's bored...and has a power washer.

Like father, Like son

Nick introduced Chase to the chili cheese Frito...and he LOVES them now...yeesh.

Welcome To The Family...

Welcome our newest addition...a 1988 Dodge Ram! This piece of work will be used for all the "dirty work" at our new house, and is pretty convenient already. Nick has been loading up gas cans, weed wackers, etc...and NOT in my van anymore :)

Brothers...
